Website and e-commerce care

Your website and store, kept updated, monitored and recoverable

We look after the technical side of your business website or online store: hosting, domains, certificates, updates, backups, performance and the integrations that take orders and payments.

Who this is for

  • Businesses whose website is a sales or enquiry channel and cannot simply stop working.
  • Online retailers and digital-product sellers with payment and stock integrations.
  • Teams that need regular content changes without an in-house developer.
  • Owners who are unsure who controls their domain, hosting and DNS.

Problems this service solves

Nobody knows where the domain is registered
We document your registrar, DNS, hosting and certificate ownership. Accounts are kept in your name, and we hold delegated access.
Updates break things, or never happen
CMS, theme and plugin updates are applied on a schedule, with a backup first and a quick check afterwards.
Malware and blacklisting
If the site is compromised we isolate, clean and harden it, and work through search-engine and browser warnings.
Slow pages that cost sales
We measure performance with real-world tools and fix the largest causes first: images, caching, database queries and third-party scripts.

How onboarding works

  1. Ownership check

Registrar, DNS, hosting, CMS admin and payment accounts: who owns them and who can access them.

  2. Health check

Versions, plugins, security warnings, performance and backups, recorded in a short report.

  3. Stabilise

Urgent fixes first: expired certificates, unsupported versions, missing backups.

  4. Routine

Update schedule, monitoring and a simple way for your team to request changes.

Service windows

Updates and content changes run in business-day windows. E-commerce plans can add Critical Monitoring for checkout and payment availability.

Standard 8×5
Eight contracted hours per business day, five days per week, in a window agreed for your timezone.
Extended 16×5
Two-shift weekday coverage for teams spread across regions or working long days.
Critical Monitoring
Continuous automated monitoring of agreed systems, with a defined Priority-1 on-call response for contracted services.

Your proposal states every window in your own timezone. Outside contracted hours, non-critical requests wait for the next window.

Incident priorities
PriorityDescriptionExample
P1 CriticalA supported business service is unavailable, or a severe security event is active, with no workaround.Production platform down
P2 HighMajor impairment affecting several users; workaround limited.Email unavailable for a department
P3 NormalAn individual issue or non-critical degradation. One user’s application problem
P4 RequestA planned change, advice or a minor inconvenience.New user setup

A response target is how quickly a qualified person starts work on your ticket. A resolution objective is what we aim for. It depends on the cause, on vendors and on access, so it is never a guarantee.

Security and data handling

  • Domains, hosting and payment accounts stay registered to your business, and we hold delegated access.
  • We never ask for payment-card data. Card processing stays with your payment provider.
  • Customer data in your store is accessed only when a ticket requires it.
  • Admin accounts are individual and protected with MFA wherever the platform supports it.

Never send passwords, one-time codes, private keys, payment-card details or production secrets through this website or by email. During onboarding we agree a secure method for sharing access, and we use named, revocable accounts wherever the system supports them.

Frequently asked questions

Can you look after a site someone else built?

Usually yes. Onboarding starts with a health check. If the site depends on abandoned or unsupported components, we tell you before taking it on.

Which platforms do you support?

Common content-management systems and custom PHP applications. Your proposal lists the exact platforms and versions in scope.

Do you guarantee my site will never be hacked?

No one can honestly guarantee that. We reduce the risk with updates, hardening, MFA and monitoring, and we respond quickly if something does happen.

Will you move our hosting?

Only if it helps. Hosting changes are planned as a small project with a rollback plan, and the new account is registered to your business.
