Custom software and automation
Business systems that remove manual steps and record every transaction
We design and build the portals, order systems, pricing engines and ledgers that spreadsheets can no longer handle, and we integrate them with the tools you already use.
Who this is for
- Wholesalers, distributors and resellers handling many customers, price levels and balances.
- Online and digital-value businesses processing high volumes of orders.
- Teams running critical processes through spreadsheets, chat messages and copy-paste.
- Companies that have outgrown an off-the-shelf tool but cannot replace it overnight.
Problems this service solves
- Manual entry errors
- Orders, prices and balances retyped between systems lead to mistakes. Integrations and validation rules mean data is entered once and checked automatically.
- Approvals nobody can trace
- Workflows record who requested, approved and changed what, and when, so disputes are settled from the record.
- Reports that take days
- Dashboards and scheduled reports draw on the same data as operations, so numbers agree.
- Access that is too broad
- Role-based permissions limit what each employee, reseller or customer can see and do.
What we build
Each project is scoped, estimated and accepted against written criteria.
Customer-facing
- Customer and reseller portals
- Order-processing systems
- Pricing engines and price trees
- API integration with suppliers and marketplaces
Operations and finance
- Inventory and sales systems
- Account and cash ledgers
- Commission systems
- CRM/ERP extensions
Insight and modernisation
- Employee dashboards
- Reporting and analytics
- Workflow automation
- Legacy-system modernisation
How a project runs
-
Discovery workshop
We map the current process, its volumes, its exceptions and the people involved, and measure a baseline where possible.
-
Specification and estimate
A written scope, acceptance criteria, milestones and a fixed or capped estimate.
-
Iterative build
Working software on a staging environment at each milestone, reviewed with your team.
-
Acceptance and launch
Testing against the agreed criteria, data migration, training and a rollback plan.
-
Warranty and support
A warranty period for defects, then optional retainer support.
Service windows
Development runs on an agreed sprint or milestone calendar. Live systems we build can be supported under a retainer with P1–P4 priorities.
- Standard 8×5
- Eight contracted hours per business day, five days per week, in a window agreed for your timezone.
- Extended 16×5
- Two-shift weekday coverage for teams spread across regions or working long days.
- Critical Monitoring
- Continuous automated monitoring of agreed systems, with a defined Priority-1 on-call response for contracted services.
Your proposal states every window in your own timezone. Outside contracted hours, non-critical requests wait for the next window.
| Priority | Description | Example |
|---|---|---|
| P1 Critical | A supported business service is unavailable, or a severe security event is active, with no workaround. | Production platform down |
| P2 High | Major impairment affecting several users; workaround limited. | Email unavailable for a department |
| P3 Normal | An individual issue or non-critical degradation. | One user’s application problem |
| P4 Request | A planned change, advice or a minor inconvenience. | New user setup |
A response target is how quickly a qualified person starts work on your ticket. A resolution objective is what we aim for. It depends on the cause, on vendors and on access, so it is never a guarantee.
Security and data handling
- Development and testing use staging environments separate from production, with anonymised or synthetic data wherever practical.
- Source code and credentials are stored separately, and secrets are never committed to source control.
- Ownership of code and intellectual property is defined in the statement of work.
- Financial logic such as balances, commissions and prices is covered by automated tests and audit trails.
Never send passwords, one-time codes, private keys, payment-card details or production secrets through this website or by email. During onboarding we agree a secure method for sharing access, and we use named, revocable accounts wherever the system supports them.
Pricing basis
Projects are estimated from a written scope. Ongoing development can run on a dedicated monthly retainer.
- Standard development
- Starting from USD 25–60 per hour
- Specialist architecture and database work
- Starting from USD 50–100 per hour
- Small automation
- Starting from USD 1,000–3,000 per project
- Business portal
- Starting from USD 4,000–15,000 per project
- Complex transactional platform
- Starting from USD 15,000–50,000+ per project
- Dedicated retainer
- Starting from USD 3,000–15,000+ per month
Starting-from prices are indicative and non-binding. A written proposal follows discovery. Unless the proposal says otherwise, prices exclude taxes, third-party licences, cloud consumption, hardware, travel and out-of-scope work.

We publish client results only with measured baselines and written client approval. References for this service are available on request during discovery.
Ask for a referenceFrequently asked questions
Will custom software save us money?
Sometimes, but we will not promise it without a baseline. In discovery we measure time spent, error rates or volumes where possible, so you can judge the return on real numbers.
Who owns the code?
Ownership and licensing are set out in the statement of work. For bespoke systems, clients normally own the code they pay for, apart from reusable components we license to them.
How do you handle changes mid-project?
Every change request is written down, estimated and approved before work starts. See our guide to software change control.
Can you work with our existing ERP or accounting system?
Usually, through its API or supported import/export. We confirm feasibility during discovery, before any estimate is final.
Map the process before you build anything
Start with a workflow review: current steps, error points, volumes and a phased plan.
