Access-control practices
- Named, individual accounts for every engineer. We do not use shared administrative logins.
- Multi-factor authentication on our own systems and on client administrative access wherever the platform supports it.
- Least-privilege access: we request only the access a contracted task needs.
- Access is reviewed periodically and revoked at the end of an engagement, using a written transition checklist.
- We never ask for passwords, one-time codes or private keys through our website or by email.
Staff confidentiality
Everyone who works on client systems is bound by written confidentiality obligations. Access is granted per client and removed when a person leaves the engagement.
Backup responsibilities
Each agreement includes a backup responsibility schedule. It records which systems are backed up, by whom, where the backups are stored, how long they are kept and how often restores are tested. We report each system as either “backup configured” or “recovery tested”, never simply “backed up”.
Incident notification
If we become aware of a security incident affecting your systems or data, we notify your nominated contacts without undue delay, through the channel and within the timeframe set out in your agreement. We share what we know, what we are doing and what you need to do.
Status communication
During incidents affecting several clients, we post updates on our status page and notify affected clients directly.
Data retention principles
- We keep client data only for as long as the contracted work requires.
- Website enquiries are deleted after a defined retention period unless they become a customer relationship.
- At the end of an engagement, client data we hold is returned or deleted as the agreement specifies.
Subprocessors
A list of the third-party services we use to deliver contracted work (for example ticketing, monitoring and email) will be published here once confirmed.
GoDaddy (website hosting, email and domains); Google Workspace (email and documents); AnyDesk or TeamViewer (remote-support sessions); Google Analytics (website analytics, only with consent); ipwho.is (country lookup from shortened IP addresses).
Certifications and partnerships
We currently hold no third-party security certifications or vendor partnership accreditations that we can verify for publication. When we do, they will be listed here with evidence.
Reporting a vulnerability
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in our website or services, please email us with enough detail for us to reproduce it. Do not access data that is not yours, degrade services or publicly disclose the issue before we have had a reasonable time to fix it. We will acknowledge your report and keep you informed.
Report to: info@computerize.biz
Never send passwords, one-time codes, private keys, payment-card details or production secrets through this website or by email. During onboarding we agree a secure method for sharing access, and we use named, revocable accounts wherever the system supports them.
